Lung Cancer remains to be the most common cancer worldwide and is the second leading cancer site in the Philippines. Smoking, second hand smoke, diesel exhaust and workplace exposure to carcinogens (cancer causing agents) like asbestos, nickel, and petroleum products are modifiable risk factors.
Reduce your risk:
– Donโ€™t start smoking
– Quit smoking if you smoke
– Wear protective devices if exposed to workplace carcinogens
– For high risk individuals be screened for lung cancer
