Important Public Advisory

To our Medical Staff, Associates and Patients,

We would like to inform you that as of today, October 16, 2020, Capitol University Medical Center (CUMC), regrettably, is no longer capable of accepting confirmed and suspect COVID-19 patients for confinement. As of this time, we are caring for ten (10) COVID-19 positive patients and several more awaiting RT PCR results. We also have nineteen (19) hospital staff on quarantine. With this, admitting more COVID-19 patients will seriously impact our ability to deliver the critical level of care and attention to patients’ needs at this time. We are also treating non-COVID patients on other floors in which their health conditions cannot be compromised.

It is our desire to extend quality healthcare to every patient that needs our help and services but we can only do so much at this point. For the meantime, while at the Emergency Department, we will continue to give preliminary evaluation and treatment but we cannot guarantee a room for your admission. We will exert every effort to find you another healthcare facility.

Given the above situation, we urge everyone to practice personal preventive measures to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Protecting ourselves means protecting the health of our loved ones as well.

The Management
